Understanding the Gradebook Activities Report

Administrators can run the Gradebook Activities Report  to pull student data in a highly customizable format. Administrators can view and export Gradebook score and attempt details for enrollments in both EdgeEX and heritage Edgenuity courses.

Administrators can see the following for each activity:

  • Score earned.
  • Passing status for quizzes, tests, and exams.
  • Whether it is counted toward the overall course grade.
  • Grade weight category.
  • Start/end time and duration.

Data on the report is for a rolling one-year period, which means older data drops off the report as new data is added.

You can export the report. For information, reference Administrator Reports overview.

 Permission

By default, Administrator Reports are visible to district administrators. For school administrators and teachers to see the reports, the View District Reports permission must be enabled on the user account. Data in the Administrator Reports includes only the school or schools associated with the user's account.

Preset data points to include in the report. You can use the default bookmarks or create your own Custom Bookmarks. To learn more, reference Filtering Administrator Reports and creating Custom Bookmarks.

Drop-down menus

This portion of the report allows you to customize the data returned in the results.

Use the drop-down menus to select the information you want to display. As you make selections, the table refreshes with the updated information. For example, selecting a Course School constrains the Course list to display only courses in that school.

The Field Picker drop-down menu lets you customize the columns that you want to see on the report.

Click Reset to revert the filters back to their defaults.

Results table

When you open the report, the results include the data set that matches the default Report Bookmark.

Each row in the report represents an attempt session. If a student worked on an activity attempt over the course of several sessions — for example, if a student Save & Exits an assessment — each attempt session is represented as a row in the report. The last attempt session, where the student submits the activity, will have an Attempt Status of Completed. Previous attempt sessions will have an Attempt Status of In Progress. The Duration for each attempt session will add up to the total Duration for the attempt.

In Progress attempt sessions will display:

  • A Passing Status corresponding to the Passing Status of the completed attempt session, if the attempt has been Completed.
  • An empty Passing Status, if the attempt is still In Progress.
  • As Counted if the activity attempt is counted toward the overall course grade.
