Error Possible problem Solution
Course and version are missing

Course name does not match the Imagine Edgenuity Catalog name.

Make sure you are using the Imagine Edgenuity Catalog name and not Course Name, which may have been customized.

Course implementation model has not been added to the school.

Go to the district and make sure the course has been added to the school.

The value in the Version column doesn’t match a valid length for that course.

 Example

In many states, Government courses and Economics courses are only one semester. Therefore, Semester A is an invalid option. (For one-semester courses, the valid option is Year.)

Make sure the version in the spreadsheet matches the information for that version in the catalog (Semester A, Semester B, Year).

For one-semester courses, the valid option is Year.

Primary or Additional Teacher The username is inaccurate or the user doesn’t exist in that school.

Update the username to be correct.

If the user doesn’t exist, you can remove the username and create the section without a teacher. Then, add the teacher manually later.

Additional Teacher when adding multiple teachers to the same course The system cannot tell where one username ends and the next begins. When adding multiple teachers, make sure their usernames are separated by a semicolon. For example: teacher1@bestschool.edu; teacher2@bestschool.edu.
Term Dates A start or end date is missing or is malformed. Make sure you have properly formatted start and end dates. Dates should be formatted in MM/DD/YYYY format, for example: 06/27/2025.
Upload process fails
  • The spreadsheet is a .csv file or another unsupported format.
  • Columns are missing or out of order.
  • An extra space has been added before or after a column title.
  • Always start with a fresh template.
  • Make sure the file is saved as .xls or .xlsx.
  • Carefully compare the headers from the template against the headers in the spreadsheet that is failing to upload.
  • Check for extra spaces or characters in headers.
  • Clear (or delete) the rows below those you have populated and the columns to the right of those you populated. Do this in case you accidentally populated additional cells beyond the necessary ones.
The spreadsheet uploads successfully, but after waiting more than 10 minutes and refreshing the page, the Review Section button is not active. The system is failing to process your spreadsheet. Contact Support.
