EdgeEX — Archiving a section

Use this article to update the status of a section of an EdgeEX course to Archived.

 Permission

To follow the steps listed below, you must have the necessary permission under School Courses. The Archive Courses permission allows you to archive a section. The Enable Courses permission allows you to re-enable an archived section. Users with both permissions can archive and re-enable courses.

This is different from the permissions required to archive heritage Imagine Edgenuity courses. To validate your permissions, reference Checking your educator permissions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I archive more than one section at a time?
Not yet. Check EdgeEX — Current functionality and releases to stay up-to-date on newly released features.
Does archiving a section also archive/disable the enrollments in the section?
No. To disable the enrollments, reference Disabling multiple enrollments.

Archiving a section

  1. Access the Section Hub.
  2. From any tab in the Section Hub, click Active.

  3. On the drop-down menu that displays, click Archived.

  4. The button displays as Archived and a confirmation displays.

  5. You can now view the section on the Archived tab of the Manage Courses page. Reference Accessing the Archived tab for steps.

 Tips

If you archived the section in error, repeat the steps above but select Active instead. Reference EdgeEX — Enabling an archived section for step-by-step instructions.
