Grading a Short Writing Assignment from the Student's Gradebook

Use this page to learn how to grade a student's short writing assignment from their gradebook.

  1. On the main menu, type the student's name in the search bar.

  2. Click the student's name once it appears below the search bar.

  3. The Selected Student tab displays to the left of the search bar.

  4. Under the Selected Student tab, click View Courses.

  5. Select the radio button next to the course.

  6. Click Score and Activity Review.

  7. Activities that require grading will have a Yes. Click the row.

  8. Click the applicable activity.

  9. Click the attempt.

  10. Read the student's response.
  11. Enter a score.

     Note

    The system reads the number placed in the score box as a percentage. If the student receives a 23/25 (92%), then put 92 in the box.

  12. Click Submit Score

  13. To provide comments, write them in the Comments box. Click Update Comments.

  14. Exit out of the window when finished.
