When students access an assessment (pretest, quiz, test, or exam) in an EdgeEX or heritage Imagine Edgenuity course with Protorio Lockdown Browser enabled, the Proctorio extension will take over the browser.
Notes
- For assistance with Proctorio Lockdown Browser, contact Imagine Learning Support; do not contact Proctorio Support. Because Imagine Learning has a custom Proctorio implementation, Proctorio Support agents are not familiar with our custom implementation, and may therefore provide incorrect information.
- Proctorio Lockdown Browser — Family and student experience can be shared with parents, guardians, and students to provide them with an overview of the Proctorio Lockdown Browser.
Taking an assessment using Proctorio Lockdown Browser
Students will take the following steps:
- In the Course Map, click any Quiz, Test, or Exam.

Click to Begin the assessment.
- The Proctorio Before You Begin page displays. Read it, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Take any required actions listed in a red box at the bottom of the page, for example:
- When the Accept button is available at the bottom of the page, click it.
Success
The student can take the assessment.
Installing the extension
If the extension has not been installed, the student will need to do the following:
- In the Course Map, click any Quiz, Test, or Exam.

Click to Begin the assessment.
- On the Install the Extension page that displays, click Click here to install the extension.
- On the Add "Secure Exam Proctor" window, click Add Extension.
