The Proctorio Lockdown Browser runs as a browser extension to Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. Proctorio locks down the student’s browser experience during assessments by preventing other browser extensions from running.
Review this list of Proctorio Allowed Extensions. The Proctorio Lockdown Browser will close any other extensions during assessments.
Notes
- If your district uses GoGuardian, you will need to provide your unique extension ID provided by GoGuardian. Contact Proctorio using this form to have your GoGuardian ID added to their Lockdown Browser. Plan accordingly, as this process will take up to 6 weeks.
- The presence of a district-required extension on this list does not guarantee that Proctorio will work for your district. Your students might be running a different version of an extension. There is no substitute for thorough testing of Proctorio by your district IT staff.
