EdgeEX — Student Progress Report overview

Use this article to learn about the EdgeEX Student Progress Report. It provides a course-by-course view of student progress with a refreshed experience and additional EdgeEX-specific information, including grade weights that align to the categories used in EdgeEX.

The report does not replace the Edgenuity Progress Report. You can continue to use the existing report, including when you want to view a student’s Edgenuity and EdgeEX courses together in one report. The EdgeEX report is limited to EdgeEX courses and provides the more detailed EdgeEX-focused experience.

 Note

If you are looking for information about:

  • Student Progress Report that students can access: EdgeEX — Using the Progress Overview in the Student Learning Experience
  • Progress Report that includes both Edgenuity and EdgeEX courses: Progress report overview

Note: EdgeEX courses feature additional gradebook categories to allow for more granular control of how various activity types are weighted. To accommodate presenting both Edgenuity and EdgeEX enrollments in a single report, these additional categories are included in the existing categories of the combined Progress Report.

The result is that, for example, if EdgeEX Assignments are weighted at 10% and EdgeEX Short Writing activities are weighted at 5%, the Assignments weight on the combined progress report displays as 15%. However, student course grades are computed using the weights selected on the EdgeEX Course Options page.

For this reason, if you compare this report to the EdgeEX Student Progress Report, the weights will be different.
