  • Each lesson is divided into small, manageable chunks for students and begins with clear and measurable objectives.
  • New vocabulary terms selected from academic vocabulary and cross-curricular lists follows the lesson objectives. 
  • Questions are broken up into small chunks relating to the text provided. These are considered self-checks for students to ensure they are on the right track in their leaning.
  • An assessment concludes the lesson. 
Materials Required Students may be asked to use thought maps or diagrams so access to paper and a pencil might be needed. Access to a calculator might be needed as well. Most items can be found within the application or internet but some students may prefer to have them in hand.

Virtual Tutors

These courses include diagnostic pretests and post-tests. If you remove content from a Virtual Tutors course, the pre- and post-tests will automatically adapt to exclude the content you removed during the customization process. However, if you add new content into a Virtual Tutors course, that content will not be assessed in either the pretest or post-test, and all students will be required to complete all new content you add. They will not be able to test out of these new lessons.
Limits on Assessments These courses include diagnostic pretests and post-tests.
