Changing an Assessment Score from the Student's Gradebook

 Permission

To follow the steps listed below, you will need to have "Change Grades" checked under Gradebook Options. To validate your permissions, click here.

  1. On the main menu, type the student's name in the search bar.

  2. Click the student's name once it appears below the search bar.

  3. The Selected Student tab displays to the left of the search bar.

  4. Under the Selected Student tab, click View Courses.

  5. Select the radio button next to the course.

  6. Click Grades.

  7. Expand the unit and lesson. The activities for the lesson should be listed.

  8. Click Quiz.

  9. To see the answers the student answered correctly and/or incorrectly, click the attempt.

     Note

    If an educator already knows what score he/she wants to assign, click Change Score on the right side of the screen. 

  10.  The left side will display the questions a student got right or wrong. A green checkmark MC-Gradebook-landing_page-green_checkmark.png indicates the student got the answer correct; whereas, a red 'x' MC-Gradebook-landing_page-red_checkmark.png means it was answered incorrectly.

  11. The current score is listed on the top left.

  12. Click Change Score.

  13. In the New Score box, enter the percentage without the percent sign.

     Note

    The system reads the number placed in the score box as a percentage. If the student receives a 23/25 (92%), then put 92 in the box.

  14. Click Submit
