EdgeEX — Viewing Activity Statuses

This article provides information about the Activity Status and steps for viewing the status of a student's activity.

The Activity Status helps determine how activities contribute to a student's progress. Each Activity Status also has sub-statuses that provides more details. For example, the Not Started status also has the sub-status Not Started – Overdue. There are five main Activity Statuses:

Viewing Activity Status

  1. Access the student's Grades tab.
  2. View the Activity Status in two places:
    • In the Course Structure section, view the main Activity Status.
    • In the Activity Details section, view the Activity Status with sub-status detail.

Coming soon!

The activity exists in the section the student is enrolled in, but an educator has bypassed the activity permanently for this student. The activity does not display in the student's Course Map but it does display on the educator's side.

Pretested Out Permanently Bypassed – Pretested Out

A student has passed the pretest for a lesson and does not have to complete the rest of the activities in that lesson.

Students can choose to launch or complete activities in this status. If they launch it, the activity remains in its Bypassed status; it does not change to In Progress status. This reflects that the student does not need to complete the activity to complete the course. If the student does complete an Assignment, it is counted towards their grade. If the student completes a Quiz, it counts towards the grade only if the score is higher than their Pretest sore.
