Session Log overview

The Session Log gives you quick access to individual student attendance and session data for EdgeEX and heritage Imagine Edgenuity courses. Data displays on a student's Session Log if a student:

  • Has logged in to Imagine Edgenuity (started a session) during the selected timeframe.
  • Has home school or secondary school access to the selected school.

On the Session Log, you can:

  • Filter by start and end date to view more than a week's worth of activity at a time.
  • View weekly, daily, and session time spent in courses and sections, including active, review, and idle time.
  • View the number of activities completed for each course or section.
  • View the assessments submitted by the student for each day.
  • If your school has the Academic Integrity add-on, view Speed Radar Alerts.
  • Print the Session Log.

Reviewing the Session Log

The following data displays:

Feature Description
Daily data

The Session Log is organized by week, then day. It displays the following in H:M:S format:

  • Weekly totals
  • Daily totals
  • Session totals, including any courses or sections the student worked on
  • Idle time for each session
  • Activity and Review time for each course or section
  • Activities completed for each course or section

Each entry on the Session Log is organized by unique sessions. If a student doesn’t log in on a given day, you won’t see a session entry for that day.

Educators can click the day header and collapse the data for that day, making it easier to navigate through multiple days.

Within each session there is a detailed breakdown of the time a student spends logged in. Idle time shows in the session header.

Activities completed

Displays the total number of activities completed for the week or day. Activities Completed includes all activities, not just assessments.

These activity totals count submissions, not completed or scored activities. If a student retakes a quiz on the same day they previously failed the quiz, both submissions count. The log would display 2 for the course or section.

Speed Radar alerts Schools using the Academic Integrity add-on will also see Speed Radar alerts on days when a student moves through lessons faster than expected.
