Import of new NWEA scores is no longer supported as of September 1, 2024. Although new scores will not populate, if you have existing scores, you can use them to assign ILPs.

If a student is currently working on an ILP, they can continue working. If a student completes a learning path, we recommend the following:

MyPath includes assessment types that do not exist anywhere else. These assessments are used for placement.

  • Edgenuity Placement Exams- These tests (available for math and reading) are created by Imagine Learning and designed to place students into an appropriate individualized learning path (ILP). Like Virtual Tutor diagnostics, the tests are static (i.e., they will be the same for all students every time). The items have been selected and sequenced to go from easiest to most difficult, allowing students to show what they know early. The questions on the placement exams are grouped and each group is linked to specific ILP. Students must earn at least a 75% on the question group to test out of that ILP level and move on to the next group, although all questions are presented to the student.

For help implementing the Edgenuity Placement Exams, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
  • NWEA™ MAP® Growth™- The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP)® test is a third-party adaptive assessment that must be purchased from NWEA™. If districts wish, they can import their MAP® data into MyPath to drive ILP recommendations instead of using the Edgenuity Placement Exam. There is a separate charge to enable the import feature.
