EdgeEX — Catalogs and course provisioning overview

All users can view the School Catalog. To view the Imagine Edgenuity Catalog and District Catalog, you must have the EdgeEX View Imagine Edgenuity Catalog and EdgeEX View District Catalog permissions. To check your permissions, reference Checking your educator permissions.

In heritage Imagine Edgenuity, you find new courses in the Course Management School (CMS). EdgeEX courses do not appear in the CMS. Instead, you will find them in the Imagine Edgenuity Catalog. From there, Administrators can preview courses and add them to their District and School Catalogs to customize content and options.

If you make a change in the District or School Catalog version of a course, the change can be applied to any and all Schools in your District and Sections in your schools.


You cannot make changes to the Imagine Edgenuity Catalog version of a course.

From the School Catalog, you can create and manage Sections that are assigned to teachers. Once created, Sections can be managed individually in the Section Hub or in the District or School Hub for that course.
