Viewing An Assessment Overview

Educators have the ability to view the assessment attempts of each student.

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean if the time shown for Time Spent on the Assessment Overview does not match the time on the Graded Attempts page?

If the amount shown for Time Spent from the Assessment Overview screen is greater than the amount shown for Time Spent under Graded Attempts, this is likely due to:

  • Network issues that can cause some lag time between clicking into the assessment and starting the assessment, or
  • The student not logging out of the session properly.

The most accurate total on the assessment attempt is the smaller Time Spent number, which will also match the Total Time metric on the Course Report.

Viewing a student's live attempt

Educators can view students' live attempts at assessments. When viewing the live attempt, the educator's screen displays a note stating "You have answered incorrectly" until the student submits their answer, regardless of whether the answer is correct or incorrect.
