Use this page to modify update a student's profile.
Note
For EdgeEX courses, accommodations and modifications are made in the student profile. Once the student profile is set, it applies to all EdgeEX enrollments for that student.
The following settings are set as student profile settings, not in the course options:
- Untimed Assessments: When enabled, assessments won't be timed.
- Reduce Number of Assessment Questions: When enabled, reduces the number of assessment items on Quizzes, Tests, and Exams (does not include Pretests, Practice Tests, or Practice Exams).
- Uses Screen Reader: When enabled, videos will not auto-play (to avoid audio overlap with screen readers).
- Deaf or Hard of Hearing: When enabled, audio content is automatically presented with a transcript.
Caution
While it is technically possible to archive a student by updating their profile, archiving a student using the instructions below results in a missing Archived Date on the Manage Students page. To archive a student, use the instructions in Archiving a Student.

Click Update Student.

Your action bar may look different based on your permissions.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click Update Student at the bottom of the page.
- A notification shows that the student's account has been edited successfully.
