Changing a student's home school
Need to know how to access this page? View the steps here.
-
On the Home School tab, select the applicable school, then click Apply.
Note
When checked, the Students with Secondary Access filter also shows students who have secondary access to the selected home schools.
We do not recommend using the Students with Secondary Access filter alone because it does not function as a filter for students who have secondary access to other schools besides their home school.
For example, students A and B have a home school of School One. Students C and D have secondary access to School One. With just the School One Home School filter on, District Admins (or those with access to more than one school) will see students A and B. When they keep School One Home School filter on and add the Students with Secondary Access filter, they will still see Students A and B and will also see Students C and D because those students have secondary access to School One.
-
Click Update Student.
Note
Your action bar may look different based on your permissions.
-
Scroll to the School Access section and change the Home School by selecting a radio button. Allow student's access to other schools by checking the box.
Note
There can only be one Home School for each student, but students can be accessed by other schools in the district by selecting the appropriate checkboxes in the Allow Access column.
- Click Update Student at the bottom of the page.
- A notification shows that the student's account has been edited successfully.
