If a student is currently working on an ILP, they can continue working. If a student completes a learning path, we recommend the following:

MyPath includes two proprietary placement assessments (one for reading and one for math) that will be used to recommend an individualized learning path (ILP) based on each student’s performance. There are 44 questions on the mathematics Edgenuity Placement Exam (EPE) and 40 questions on the reading EPE, and each exam must be completed within 5 hours. Time constraints should not be a factor; students have significantly more time than they need to complete the placement tests.

Each EPE is designed with easier questions at the beginning and harder questions at the end. Students should be encouraged to stop and submit the test once the questions get too hard. They will then be accurately placed into an ILP based on their responses to the questions they complete.

Questions are not randomized on the EPE assessments. Rather, questions are grouped together, and each group is associated to a specific ILP level. These question groups are presented to students in order from the lowest skill level to the highest skill level.

All the placement exams are given a grade level of 13 because the test assess a range of grades.
