Library of Congress Teacher Materials
The Library of Congress offers classroom materials and professional development to help teachers effectively use primary sources from the LOC’s vast digital collections in their teaching. This website includes extensive materials and interactive galleries for student use focusing on media literacy as well as both literary nonfiction comprehension and primary source comprehension.

Writing and Grammar

Daily Grammar Archive
Daily Grammar offers over 400 free grammar lessons and nearly 100 free quizzes. Lessons cover the eight parts of speech, the parts of the sentence, and the mechanics of grammar.

The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL)
The Purdue OWL has a collection of over 200 resources that focus on writing and teaching writing, research, grammar and mechanics, and style guides. Additionally, materials are available for ESL students as well as for students conducting job searches.

The Writer's Online Toolkit
The Writer's Online Toolkits offers tools and advice to help a writer improve their writing skills. Find suggestions for essay/academic writing, novelists, and freelance writing.
