Import of new NWEA scores is no longer supported as of September 1, 2024. Although new scores will not populate, if you have existing scores, you can use them to assign ILPs.
If a student is currently working on an ILP, they can continue working. If a student completes a learning path, we recommend the following:
- Have the student go back and complete anything they didn't master.
- Manually place the student in a higher learning path. The student can take the Edgenuity Placement Exam to determine which path to move on to.
The Imagine Edgenuity's Placement Exam (EPE) is available for Mathematics and Reading. Each student has up to five hours to take the exam. The Placement Exam is designed to place students into an appropriate individualized learning path (ILP) and is only taken once.
Like Virtual Tutor diagnostics, the tests are static (i.e., the questions will always be the same and appear in the same order for every student). The items have been selected and sequenced to go from easiest to most difficult, allowing students to show their knowledge early. The questions on the placement exams are grouped and each group is linked to specific ILP. Students must score at least a 75% on the question group to test out of that ILP level before moving on to the next group.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Yes. Both placement exams have Save and Exit enabled. Students will be able to save and exit as many times as needed, but any questions previously viewed will be locked when exiting to ensure integrity of the assessment questions. The students will not be able to access locked questions upon returning to the assessment.
ILP recommendation is based on how students score on the individual questions within the EPE. While the overall score is captured, it is not used to recommend the ILP. Questions are grouped together, and each question group links to a specific ILP level. The questions are static and will appear in the same order, from the lowest level to the highest level. Students must earn at least a 75% within the question group to test out of that ILP.
