Updating a student's account on the Selected Student tab

Use this page to update the personal information of a student.

 Note

While it is technically possible to archive a student on the Selected Student tab, archiving a student using the instructions below results in a missing Archived Date on the Manage Students page. To archive a student, use the instructions in Archiving a Student.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I edit a student's username?
No, usernames cannot be changed. Contact Customer Support if there is an issue with a username.

 Permission

To follow the steps listed below, you will need to have "Edit Students" and "Manage School Access" checked under Student Accounts. To validate your permissions, click here.

  1. Under the Selected Student tab, click Update Student.

  2. Make the necessary changes. Examples include adjusting the student's:
      • Name
      • Student IDs and District Custom Fields
      • Other Information
      • Demographic Data

         Note

        If you select Yes for the Individualized Education Program option, an IEP icon displays next to the student's user name on the Manage Students page.

  3. Click Update Student at the bottom of the page.

  4. A notification shows that the student's account has been edited successfully.
